FIELD: measuring techniques.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method of determining moisture content of wood lies involves putting two samples into contact using two electrodes, which are located along a line, perpendicular to the fibres of the samples, at a fixed distance from each other. Voltage is applied to the measuring cell, at which the current value of amplitude is measured twice. The current amplitude value of current is recorded at the first moment in time and a second value is measured at a time interval which is a multiple of the first time interval. From the two current values and time intervals, the limiting current in the sample is found as well as the real moisture value from a calibrated curve.

EFFECT: increased accuracy in a fixed range or widening of the range by 20 times at a given accuracy.
