FIELD: instrumentation.

SUBSTANCE: in the method for wood moisture content determination per pulse dynamic response curve, according to the invention, voltage is applied to measuring cell and moisture content is determined by limiting current. Limiting current is determined within fixed time period directly proportional to measured voltage on linear segment of measuring cell pulse dynamic response curve which cell consists of wet material connected in series with reference container. Moisture content is determined from calibration curve. According to the invention, device for wood moisture content consists of measuring cell including wet material connected in series with reference container, reference resistance and voltage detector. Additionally, the device features operating amplifier with excess gain in the negative feedback of which measuring cell is included as integrator circuit, reference voltage is connected to direct input via reference resistance, and voltage detector is connected to output.

EFFECT: invention improves metrological effectiveness, namely measurement accuracy, due to elimination of nonlinearity.
