FIELD: technological processes; water treatment.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to treatment of industrial and sewage water drains and may be used in different industries for treatment of waters from admixtures with specific density that is lower or higher than density of water, and also from suspended solid particles. Method includes separation of settling tank into sections with floating partitions, drain of floating suspensions and purified water, and gravitational settling of suspended particles on settling tank bottom. Positive difference of overlying water layers is maintained in settling tank in respect to underlying layers due to transfer of heat from water supplied to treatment to upper layers of water by means of its supply without mixing through upper layers of subsequent sections in the first one. This eliminates thermal ascending currents in the middle sections. At that gravitational deposition of particles is provided in direct-flow bottom thin-layer current, which is created by installation of metal container-traps on settling tank bottom for collection of fine-dispersed particles, which maintain permanency of bottom current thin layer value and transfer heat from settling tank bottom to bottom layers of water, performing function of radiators.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of water treatment.
