FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of cleaning small rivers involves stopping the top water layer of a river and accumulation of contaminants in a water area, removal of said contaminants from the water and accumulation in a tank, pumping water from the container to a settler-clarifier, treating the water and accumulation of contaminants, releasing treated water into the water area and recycling of the contaminants. Separation of the top water layer on the depth in the water area is done by varying the angle of inclination of the edge of the mouth of the accumulation tank from 0 to 10°, where the said mouth is at the corner of an angled collection pontoon and its depth is lower than the level of water where the submerged pump lies. The amount of water entering the accumulation container must always be greater than the output of the pump. Treatment of water and accumulation of contaminants is carried out in settler-clarifiers (working, standby) at the bank, where the said settler-clarifiers lie 1-1.5 m higher than the highest level of water in the river. The system for realising the said method includes an angled collection pontoon, an accumulation tank, a submerged pump, a pipe with a stop valve and settler-clarifiers (working, standby). The collection pontoon is fitted with hinge joints which gives it an angled shape, one side of which tied by ropes to the bank, and the other counter-flow at an angle which can vary from 10 to 40° by shortening the system of ropes of both sides of the pontoon. Inside the corner of the pontoon there is an accumulation container lying 3-6 mm below the water level, having at the mouth a hinged horizontal edge with width of 0.3-0.4 m with a controlled angle of inclination which varies from 0 to 10°. Inside the container there is a submerged pump which pumps water into the settler-clarifiers, having the shape of a trench in which there are series-arranged watertight closure dams with water bypass at the bottom of the trench, thin-layer louvered clarifiers, thin-layer longitudinal clarifiers, water filters, device for controlling depth of inlet and outlet of clean water into the water area partitioned off by the pontoon, and an emergency spillway. There are flat containers at the bottom of the trench.
EFFECT: reduced expenses and increased reliability of devices realising said method.
