FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is attributed to wind power engineering and can be used in wind turbines with vertical or horizontal axis of rotation. Wind turbine blade contains strong airfoil portion and root portion with attachment fittings. Aft portion is rigidly attached to airfoil portion. The aft portion is made multilayer, elastic and yielding to wind action having width that exceeds the width of airfoil portion. In the wind turbine with vertical axis airfoil portion of blade may be made of firm cable or tape.
EFFECT: improvement of wind energy conversion into mechanical energy and reliability when using in wind turbines.
