FIELD: engineering industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to pressure vessel seals, to metal seal of steel seamless gas vessel, the thin-wall modification of which can be used as a liner of pressure vessel made from metal composite, which is meant for compressed hydrogen. Seal consists of an element being sealed (liner's neck), a sealing element (gasket), a sealing element (adapter) and tightening device made in the form of a threaded pair. Liner's neck consists of a tooth made in section in the form of sector of a circle. Adapter plane consists of a groove made in section in the form of sector of a circle. Radius of sector of a circle of adapter groove is larger than radius of sector of a circle of liner's neck tooth. Element being sealed comes into contact in the groove with sealing element by means of force of tightening device higher than yield point by the tooth top and within the range of elasticity when being located near tooth top.
EFFECT: improving reliability of metal seal of pressure vessel made from metal composite and meant for compressed hydrogen.
