FIELD: construction, pipeline.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to inspection engineering and may be employed for spotting and detection of typical size of leakage in the underground pipeline. Method of spotting and detection of typical size of the leakage in the underground pipeline consists in the following: inside the pipeline electromagnet radiation is created by means of installed there radiator; oriented super-high electromagnetic radiation with time - variant frequency is sent, electromagnetic radiation leaking from the hole is received by means of two, panoramic receivers frequency adjustment range whereof equals radiation band of the transmitter, and antennas have circular and cardioid directional pattern; cardioid directional pattern of the antenna is rotated reaching coincidence of the zero crevase with the direction of electromagnetic radiation receiving, point of the said coincidence is registered, whereat position of the leakage hole is spotted by minimum of the cardioid directional pattern; and typical size of the leakage hole is detected by frequency mark on the screen of observation oscilloscope, frequencies of the signals coming from the zero direction of no interest to the radio control are preliminary measured and remembered; statistical information on frequency parameters of all the signals which have been and are being observed within the set frequency range is accumulated, additional information from the operator is entered; frequency pattern of prohibited for processing signals is created and stored by means of statistical and additional information; frequencies of the detected signals are compared with frequency pattern and should they coincide control signal is formed prohibiting further processing of the signals on coinciding frequencies.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of spotting and detection of typical size of the leakage in the underground pipeline by exclusion from the inlet stream signals of no interest to the radio control.
