FIELD: physics, measurement.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of measurement equipment and may be used in facilities for registration of horizontal soil oscillations generated by seismic natural and artificial origin. Seismograph contains converter of pendulum system vibrations into electric signal, amplifier of electric signal, inertial mass and its arm to axis of suspension, extended pendulum arm with fragment of soft magnetic cylindrical revolution surface at its end with radius equal to extended pendulum arm. At that mass of soft magnetic cylindrical surface of revolution should be considerably less than inertial mass, and cylindrical magnetic systems of "Ш"-shaped section in the form of assembly of central permanent magnet of cylindrical shape contained in cylindrical yoke from soft magnetic material. At that top magnetic system faces lower magnetic system that is identical in design and has opposite magnetisation, and is located after balance condition has been obtained above cylindrical surface of revolution at the same distance that lower magnetic system located under cylindrical surface of revolution, and axis of magnetic systems fixed to casing is located at the distance of radius of extended pendulum arm.

EFFECT: higher reliability of seismograph operation with simultaneous preservation of natural period increase.
