METHOD OF DIAGNOSTICS OF OPTIC DISK PATHOLOGY AT DIABETES Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A61B3/10

SUBSTANCE: obtain digital image of eyeground of patient. On the obtained image of eyeground allocate OD area in form of ellipse. Make scanning in the OD area in nasal and temporal sectors, defining sizes of brightness dark blue components on RGB model and value component of colour system Hue-Saturation-Brightness (HSB) on 360 gradation of colour tone, saturation and brightness. Make processing of the image of OD area for obtaining of binary image and parametres of contour imitating OD edge. Prospect vessels on the OD edge, define their direction, and count thickness of vessels at level of the OD edge; count total diameter of vessels and its relation to diameter OD. If the standard deviation (SD) of the dark blue components is in a range from 16 to 32, scope of variation of the dark blue components - from 62 to 123, SD saturations - from 22 to 84, scope of a variation of a saturation - from 89 to 146, the relation of total diameter of the main vessels to diameter OD - from 0.8 to 1.3, the relation of total diameter of all veins crossing the OD edge by diameter OD - from 0.2 to 0.6, the relation of total diameter of all arteries crossing edge OD by diameter OD - from 0.35 to 0.7 diagnose the OD pathology for patients with diabetes.

EFFECT: increase of accuracy of diagnostics and revealing of pathology of optic disk at patients with diabetes in earliest terms.
