FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and is intended to assess the quality of color vision in children. The child is presented with colored silhouette pictures as part of the first and second tests. The HSL color model is used for the first and second tests, each of which includes 6 groups of images with L equal to 50%, S equal to 10%, 30%, 50%. In the first test, each group includes three achromatic images and one chromatic image in the presence of primary and additional colors. In the absence of the ability to distinguish chromatic from achromatic color with the smallest S equal to 10%, the presence of color blindness is determined. In the second test, each group includes three chromatic images: red, green, blue and their tints. In the absence of the ability to perceive tints at the lowest S equal to 10%, the presence of a color anomaly is determined.
EFFECT: method provides an effective and simple assessment of the quality of color vision in children, including preschool and primary school children, with the determination of the degree and nature of the detected disorders.
