FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to technology of uranium hexafluoride liberation from multicomponent gas mixtures containing uranium hexafluoride, phosphorus, chrome and hydrogen fluorides, and air components. Invention concerns method including partial vacuum distillation of light impurities at temperature 223...243 K to level 16...35% min. Prepared gas mixture containing uranium hexafluoride and residual light impurities is separated in gas centrifuges as loaded in feeding flow at 40...60% of maximum allowed feeding flow of pure uranium hexafluoride.
EFFECT: production of high-purity uranium hexafluoride, does not require bulky equipment and high temperature, and enables to solve problem of production of pure uranium hexafluoride from multicomponent uranium-fluorine-containing mixtures with uranium hexafluoride content ≤10% moles.
