FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for corrosion prevention of steel parts of process equipment and water supply systems. The method incorporates cathode activation of emergencies of dislocations on steel surface and introducing an inhibitor into a water medium; the said inhibitor contains a zinc complex of oxiethylidenbiphosphonic acid; also cathode activation of emergencies of dislocations on steel surface is performed by exposing to oxygen solved in the water medium; oxygen concentration is regulated within 0.1 to 6.2 mg/dcm range and pH of the water medium is maintained within 7.5 to 10 range.
EFFECT: preserving water for household use, in particular, for drinking and increases efficiency of corrosion prevention of steel equipment.
