FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction technologies and, particularly, to construction in severe natural and climatic conditions on heaving grounds. Strewing element design for protection of foundation deepened in seasonally freezing heaving grounds, from swelling and damage due to winterkilling cracks, includes a trench with gentle slopes. The trench is filled with non-heaving ground. The strewing element consisting of non-heaving ground is made with expansion to side of foundation bed and tilting angle of freezing layer shear plane to the side surface of foundation. Both the expansion and tilting angle are defined based on the reduced dependencies. Besides, the strewing is made gradually at a height no more than hc=0.4 m and width equal to the distance bc=tgα·hc to ensure easiness of strewing technology with non-heaving ground compacting.
EFFECT: reduction of material consumption and labour effort for strewing side surfaces of foundations to protect them from swelling and damage due to winterkilling cracks.
