INSPECTION DRAINAGE WELL FOR HEAVING SOILS Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC E02B11/00 E03F5/02

Abstract RU 2629780 C1

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: inspection drainage well for heaving soils includes a cylindrical body made of reinforced concrete wall thin rings of the same diameter. The body consists of a ring with a bottom 3, the n number of passing rings 4, including additional rings 4a, and an upper ring 5 with a cover 6. The well also includes an inlet 7 pipe and an outlet 8 pipe of closed manifolds, a preparation 2 for the ring with the bottom 3, backfilling the excavation by excavated soil 9 and sprinkling with it from the soil surface to the top of the well 11 located no less than 20 cm above it. The reinforced concrete wall rings forming the cylindrical body of the well are rigidly interconnected. The additional rings 4a are installed in the lower body part, and the preparation 2 for the ring with the bottom 3 is made of non-heaving, for example hydrophobic, soil with compacting. From the same soil with compacting, the dusting of the well 10 is made from a depth corresponding to the calculated soil freezing depth hp of the p-percentage probability of exceeding in the well installation place to the soil surface. Wherein the dusting layer thickness δ increases with depth from the minimum δmin on the soil surface, due to the accepted work performance technology, to the maximum δmax at a depth corresponding to hp. The δmax value is established depending on the degree of soil frost heaving, determined by the granulometric composition of the soil and the laying depth of the groundwater surface relative to the lower freezing boundary of the soil, corresponding to hp , ensuring the well stability against the forces of frost soil heaving with the layer thickness of the well dusting with non-heaving soil δmin≥20 cm, and δmax in medium-heaving soils at least 30 cm, in strongly-heaving ones - at least 45 cm, and in excessively heaving ones - at least 60 cm. The laying depth of the closed manifolds flowing into the well is hcm>hp. The dusting around the well top has a width of b≥hp. The well is additionally equipped with an inner cover 12 mounted on an annular ledge 13 with a heat-insulating gasket, formed on the inner surface of the reinforced concrete wall ring below the soil surface level.

EFFECT: improving the quality of work on the installation of a well from thin-walled rings while reducing time and labour costs, increasing the service life of the well without repair in heaving soils, while reducing costs both for its construction and operation, increasing the reliability, durability and efficiency of closed drainage operation.
