FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: vertical dust catcher comprises cylindrical body with upper and lower tangential nozzles for supply of treated gas, baffle washer, axial outlet nozzle of treated gas and dust bunker, perforated cylindrical insert installed coaxially to casing with provision of annular gap between them. Upper tangential nozzle is arranged in the form of volute snail-like swirler, and the lower one is equipped with taper swirler and hollow truncated cone installed on casing axis, which is characterised by ratio of its base diameters equal to 1:(1.4-1.5), on external surface of which annular baffle washer is installed. Perforated cylindrical insert is installed so that it may rotate with the help of blades provided on external surface of perforated cylindrical insert upper part, and is rigidly fixed by means of horizontal spokes to vertical axis, where fairing is installed. Blades are installed preferably at angle of 7-12° to vertical line. Upper part of casing comprises nozzles for air supply to blades.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of gas treatment, especially in catching of finely dispersed particles.
