FIELD: metallurgy industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ferrous metallurgy, and namely to out-of-furnace processing of metallurgical melts by means of powdered reagents. Flux cored wire consists of a steel jacket and a filler containing powdered ferrotitanium and granular calcium. Content of powdered ferrotitanium and granular calcium in the filler, wt %, is as follows: 85.0-99.9 and 0.1-15.0 correspondingly. Content of filler and steel jacket, wt %, is as follows: 35-85 and 15-65 correspondingly. Filling factor of flux cored wire is 0.4-0.9.
EFFECT: providing high and stable degree of titanium uptake (not less than 80%) from wire and producing steel with regulation stable content of titanium in steel within close limits on each melt.
