FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: proposed adsorbent can be used adsorption processes from gaseous phase for separation of paraxylene or separation of paraxylene and ethyl benzene from a mixture of xylenes or from a mixture C8 of aromatic hydrocarbons, respectively. The adsorbent composition usually contains molecular sieve material and a binding substance. The volume of macropores of the adsorbent composition is approximately 0.20 cm3/g, and the volume of mesopores is approximately less than 0.20 cm3/g.
EFFECT: increased selectivity.
