METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CONTROL OF WATER SOLUTION ELECTROLYSIS PROCESS Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC C02F1/461 C25B15/02

Abstract RU 2345956 C1

FIELD: technological processes; physics.

SUBSTANCE: using ultrasonic echo-signals, extent of calcium and magnesium salts deposition is continuously determined on membrane walls, and whenever value of echo-signal exceeds permissible limit value, polarity of DC voltage applied to electrolytic cell electrodes is changed, afterwards directions of anolyte and catholyte flows that outflow from electrolytic cell are changed. Measurement of ultrasonic echo-signal value is done at height equal to half of electrolytic cell working chamber length on the side of negative electrode before and after change of DC voltage polarity at electrodes. Device for method realisation contains electrode chamber of electrolytic cell, source of DC with switch of electrode polarity, system of pipelines for water supply and drain, clock generator, exciting generator, switcher for control of piezoelectric transducer operation, the first and second piezoelectric transducers, the first and second high-frequency amplifiers, the first and second amplitude detectors, time selector, threshold device and unit of electromagnet valves control.

EFFECT: automation of water solution electrolysis control process, higher efficiency and durability of electrolytic cell.
