FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention pertains to production of automobile fuel from renewable raw materials and is aimed at obtaining quality biodiesel fuel, matching technical properties of petroleum diesel fuel. The method of producing biodiesel fuel from vegetable oil involves mixing vegetable oil with hydrogen-containing gas, heating the obtained mixture in a pipe furnace to 250-350°C, and putting the heated mixture into a hydrocracking reactor, in which pressure is kept at 2-5 MPa. Cold hydrogen is supplied to the bottom layer of catalyst. High pressure hydrogen containing gas is separated in a separator. Part of it is diverted from the device, and the remaining part is taken for mixing with vegetable oil through a circulation compressor. Liquid from the separator is choked into a three-phase separator, from which hydrocarbon gas is taken, and the liquid divides into water and a liquid hydrocarbon fraction, from which, in a fractional column, the diesel and gasoline fractions separate, as well as a heavy residue.
EFFECT: obtaining biodiesel fuel, with low sulphur content and biodegradability considerably higher than that of petroleum diesel oil, and with considerably low content of NOx in its emissions.
