FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to hydraulic engineering and may be used for prevention of fish death in equipment of pumped storage power plant. Method for provision of fish safety at pumped storage power plant is based on concentration of fish upstream water inlet in certain zone and their direction from this area to safe place of fish-inhabited basin. Fish is kept in the area of their concentration for the period of basin evacuation, and then directed to safe place of water basin for the period of its filling by return water flow through water intake. At that fish is concentrated and kept in surface comfortable relatively safe zone, redistributing them in this area from upper fish-inhabited layer of water intake flow with the help of ascending water jets. Fish is directed to safe area of basin, where optimal conditions for fish habitation are created, and fish is kept from return to water intake whenever basing is evacuated.
EFFECT: provision of possibility to organize complex of serially performed measures that help to stop fish that inhabit water basins upstream water intakes, kept from suction into equipment, directed to safe optimal habitats and kept from return to source of danger.
