FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to washover units of rock-destruction tools. Washover unit includes housing with channel and socket where nozzle is installed. Cavity between said nozzle and housing accommodates a hub with stepped inner surface, which is congruent with outer surface of said header, and a sealing ring, which is in contact with socket bottom and upper edge of said hub. The unit is equipped with a retainer. Housing and hub are provided with radial channels for rod retainer. Side surface of socket is provided with circular boring for retainer in operating position. Rod retainer is installed in radial channel and can move in longitudinal direction. Its length exceeds depth of said circular boring. Rod retainer can be implemented as two telescoped parts, where the part at the side opposite to the nozzle side is spring loaded against another part. Side wall of socket is provided with a longitudinal groove connecting retainer's radial channel with circular boring.
EFFECT: improved reliability of washover unit operating.
