FIELD: mechanical engineering, gas distribution.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in laser technology, microelectronics and in motor vehicles as well. A gas vessel comprises a casing, a sealed chamber with a heater and cartridges mounted along the casing axis, gas intake and outlet nozzles. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that the cartridges are made as a set of tubular capillaries with their radius and wall thickness being defined by the following relation: 0.01≤Δ/r≤0.2, where: k stands for capillary radius, Δ - tubular capillary wall thickness. Wire filamentary heaters are located in the gaps between the tubular capillaries along the total set length. Tubular capillary walls are made from the material with variable permeability for hydrogen which is increasing as temperature rises.
EFFECT: increased safety, increase of volume and mass hydrogen content in the cartridges.
