FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: geometry of the proposed bumper is meant for kinematic loading, cushioning contact with a carriage body and chassis frame, without use of auxiliary elements and is obtained using press moulding. The bumper is rigidly fastened to the automobile using a threaded fastener and self-tapping screws to provide for elasticity and retention of strength properties of the carriage body and chassis frame after redistribution of compression and stretching strain in the fasteners.
EFFECT: improved strength characteristics of a non-reinforced profile.
