FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to wind-power engineering and may be used in electric machine industry. Rotor of vertical-axial wind mill comprises row of vertical blades that rotate around vertical axis and hub installed in centre of rotation, from which power cross-bars contained into aerodynamic fairings branch forth radially, and specified blades are fixed to them with alternation upwards, creating upper rotor tier, and downwards, creating lower tier. Fairings installed on part of cross-bars or on all of them, are mounted of two sections arranged in the form of centrifugal aerodynamic brakes, and free ends of blades are covered with caps that protrude beyond the edge of blade profile by value from 0.5 to 1 of profile maximum thickness. In the other version upper tier blades are installed with displacement relative to lower tier blades by half of angle distance between blades in tier, upper ends of upper tier blades and lower ends of lower tier blades are connected by flattened rings, section height of which makes 0.5-0.65 of their width section, at that fairings installed on part of cross-bars or on all of them, are mounted from two sections arranged in the form of centrifugal aerodynamic brakes.
EFFECT: increase of wind power energy coefficient up to 37%, capability to sustain hurricane wind up to 45-60 m/sec.
