FIELD: food products.
SUBSTANCE: product contains sweetener and from 0.2 to 25 wt % of vegetable sterol ether. The quantity of sweetener is decreased in comparison with standard product. Also a method of hiding of bitter, sour and/or harsh taste of the product is presented. According to this method the sweetener is added to the food product in the amount less than in the standard product and vegetable sterol ether is added in the amount of 0.2 to 25 wt %. Furthermore a method of preparation of the food product with hidden bitter, sour and/or harsh taste with low carbohydrates content is presented. Also the usage of vegetable sterol ether in the food product in the amount of 0.2 to 25 wt % is presented for substitution of the part of the sweetener used in the product for hiding bitter, sour and/or harsh taste of the product.
