FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: prior to withdrawal, foreign body is preliminarily fixed against fallout from wound channel. At that fixing tool used is suture needle inserted in front chamber of eye by means of cornea piercing. Then foreign body is forcibly displaced inside wound channel by tip of suture needle and fixed there against fallout by means of tip sticking into cornea depth on the inside of wound channel. Then foreign body is finally withdrawn from wound channel by means of action effected by needle from the side of inlet opening.
EFFECT: lower probability for occurrence of operational and postoperational complications by prevention of foreign body fallout into front chamber of eye with simultaneous reduction of traumatising actions at eye tissues.
