FIELD: textile fabrics, paper.
SUBSTANCE: method of flax fiber treatment includes tillage with simultaneous shortening of fiber and separation of hard particles by action of air centrifugal flow. Separation of hard particles is done by means of simultaneous action of air centrifugal flow and multiple impact action with application of picker rollers at the rate of their rotation of 700-1200 rpm, afterwards repeated tillage is carried out with simultaneous shortening of fiber to average masslength of 35-55 mm with further separation of hard particles by method specified above, then fiber is treated by aqueous solution giving fire-resistant properties and containing oxyethylidenediphosphonic acid in concentration of 30-120 g/l and ammonium salt in concentration of 80-230 g/l, afterwards fiber is dried.
EFFECT: lower number of short fibers, reduced losses of mechanical strength, giving of fire resistant properties to fiber and increase of process efficiency.
