FIELD: textile industry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning, mellowing, cottonizing, moistening and drying raw material under process (short flax fiber № 2, combings, shake-outs). Mellowing process is performed three times, with first mellowing process being performed before cleaning process, second - before moistening process and third - after drying process. Drying is performed after cottonizing process, the latter being provided by subjecting material under process to electrohydraulic action, with said material being placed in liquid.
EFFECT: improved quality of flax fiber and simplified method for processing of flax fiber.
