FIELD: physics, tests.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to testing of materials in the medium of pure hydrocarbon fluids containing special additives affecting physical properties of fluids. The proposed device comprises fixed and movable specimens placed to the chamber with fluid under test containing a magnetic additive. Note here that the fixed specimen lower part is connected, via a magnetic circuit, to permanent magnets representing cylinders enclosed in lateral diamagnetic shell. Note also that the central magnet polarity is opposite to that of surrounding magnets.
EFFECT: selection of optimum magnetic additive and optimum magnetic field intensity in friction zone to increase lube capacity of diesel fuel.
