FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the method of increasing the hardness of friction pairs by treatment of lubricant in assemblies of friction parts. Note here that said lubricant is treated directly in tribosystem. Positive polarity constant current adjusted from 100 to 300 mcA is fed to one friction surface of the part. Said current makes a closed circuit with lubricant ply and tribosystem counterpart surface Note here that current fed through tribosystem is supplied by power source connected with potentiometers and current magnitude and polarity regulators.

EFFECT: higher wear resistance, lower labour input and simplified process.
