FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method for increasing the efficiency of the use of a lubricating oil with additives involves the electric processing of a lubricating oil when it passes through an interelectrode space at a constant electric voltage in which the value of the constant electric voltage is set depending on the current in the interelectrode space so that the current is in the range 0.9÷1.0 maximum value of the current strength, fixed in the range at which the electric breakdown of the lubricating oil is not achieved.
EFFECT: reducing wear of rubbing parts, fuel consumption and longer service life, lower emissions of harmful substances with exhaust gases.
