FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: skin is incised horizontally from interior canthus herewith dissecting epicanthus fold and spreading medially from its nasal border. Then two divergent skin incisions are made from lateral end of horizontal incision spreading along the edge of superior and inferior eyelid. Skin flap is separated. Canthus tissues are separated, fixed to periosteum of lateral nose wall. Common medial vertex of skin flaps is aligned with lateral end of horizontal incision and fixed with one interrupted suture. Flaps and epicanthus fold are smoothed; excess skin or cicatrical tissue is excised, and wound edges are adapted with interrupted sutures.
EFFECT: simplified operation procedure and improved cosmetic effect.
