FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes cold plastic deformation of circular blank with receiving of wire with final dimensions by means of drawing through the shaped draw ring. Uniform degree of deformation by section of wire and uniform fine-grain structure is provided by means of that wire deformation of prefinished dimensions is implemented by means of cold rolling with receiving of oval section of height a0=(0.9÷1.1)a·exp(ε/2) and width b0=(0.9÷1.1)b·exp(ε/2), where ε - predefined degree of deformation, and a and b - correspondingly height and width of wire section with final dimensions, at that rolling is implemented sequentially in oval and vertical oval pass, at ratio of vertical oval pass axis ap=pp/hp, where pp and bp - correspondingly are width and height of pass, equal to 0.4÷0.45.
EFFECT: increasing of mechanical and performance attributes of oval section wire for example, spacer wire from steel quality "ЧС-68ИД" for heat-producing elements of nuclear reactor.
