FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method includes cold plastic deformation of circular blank with receiving of wire with final dimensions by means of wire drawing through the shaped draw ring. Uniform degree of deformation by wire section and uniform fine-grain structure are provided at the expense of that deformation of wire with preliminary finished dimensions is implemented by cold rolling with receiving of oval section with height a0=(0.9÷1.1)a·exp(ε/2) and width b0=(0.9÷1.1)b·exp(ε/2), where ε - defined degree of deformation, a and b - correspondingly are height and width of wire section with final dimensions, at that rolling is implemented at plain rolls, after what it is implemented wire drawing through shaped draw ring with receiving of oval section of preliminary prepared dimensions.
EFFECT: increasing of mechanical and performance attributes of oval section wire for example, spacer wire from steel quality "ЧС-68ИД" for heat-producing elements of nuclear reactor.
