FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: child restraint mechanism is a passive restraint system for children of four years and above (height of 110 cm and over) that is designed to be used in vehicles along with standard three-point seat belts. The child restraint mechanism used along with standard three-point seat belts including waist and shoulder belts has a central body section with two waist and shoulder belt channels along the edges that converge as they run from the rear body edge to the front one, as well as detachable fasteners closing each channel of a respective belt. The body is designed as one symmetrical panel with two valves that are used to close the said channels and have high-friction inner surface.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability and service life, ease of use and manufacture since the mechanism is more securely fixed to seat belts and there is less load on detachable fasteners.
