FIELD: vehicles.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to child restraint systems for safe transportation of a child in a vehicle. The child restraint system comprises a rigid body that is concave on the inside and can be attached to a vehicle seat forming a one-piece element functioning as both a seat and a backrest to support the child, and seatbelts for restraining the child in the concave side of the body. The one-piece element comprises two parts hingedly interconnected so that the body folds along a center line passing through the rigid body, each part comprises at least two panels so that each panel can be attached to the adjacent panels forming a rigid body or detached from the adjacent panels so as to allow to compactly fold the child restraint system into a substantially flattened storage position.
EFFECT: safety during operation of the system is increased.
