FIELD: heating, fuel.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to brush-type propellant charge designs of jet engines with limited time of operation. Solid-propellant charge of rocket fuel intended for take-off jet engines contains a cartridge assembly, jet engine bottom, cartridges mounting attachment to the above bottom and igniting mixture being encapsulated and placed into pre-chamber perforated metal pipe. The pipe is installed into the central channel of the assembly, fixed to the bottom and separated into two perforated sections. One perforated section is over the bottom, whereas the other is smaller and installed on the opposite end of pipe. The igniting mixture consists mainly of coarse-grained elements placed in the pipe from the bottom side and fine-grained elements of lighter weight placed in the opposite side of the pipe. The pipe tapers and part of the tapered section is perforated.
EFFECT: reliable inflammation, stable burning and adequate ballistic performance of solid propellant charge.
