FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: proposed is a method of generating mechanical work via a steam-and-power cycle. Steam generation proceeds within at least one closed thermally-insulated reservoir filled with steam under a pressure preset due to dynamic interaction between the drop liquid and the evaporation surface. The surface temperature exceeds the liquid condensed phase critical point. The dynamic interaction process proceeds due to provision for relative motion of the drop lliquid across the evaporation surface and the liquid power hold-down to the surface. The steam engine output capacity is controlled by way of regulating the flow of liquid onto the evaporation surface or the preset pressure value modification. The proposed method enables joint delivery of the drop liquid and a substance impregnated with the latter such as wetted mineral coal. The evaporation surface is heated to a temperature required for entropic explosive disintegration of the substance specified.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of mechanical work generation via a steam-and-power cycle.
