FIELD: space engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of protecting space vehicles (SV) and structures on the surface of celestial bodies with no dense atmosphere against depressurisation that is likely to be caused on colliding with minor meteorites and other space objects. In compliance with this invention the proposed device comprises at least one layer of elements that acquire rotation when meteorite or some other space objects pass through them off center. The said elements are fitted in the space vehicle enclosure area to be protected and represent cylinders or balls. Each of the said elements is placed in a rigid enclosure allowing its free rotation. Note that a layer of lubrication is arranged in the gap between the aforesaid element that gets congealed when in contact with the substance of the aforesaid SV area being protected or in case the press drops.
EFFECT: reliable and universal device preserving SV enclosure tightness on colliding with minor meteorites and other space objects.
