FIELD: astronautics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to space engineering, particularly, to spacecraft protection. Method of protecting a spacecraft against unauthorized access of third-party space objects involves detection of an external space object and protection from it with a screen. Screen is made in the form of a capsule with compressed gas placed in a sealed shell of elastic polymer material with metal sputtering. Shell reflects the radiation in the optical range of the spectrum fairly well, along the normal to the direction of the approaching external object.
EFFECT: decreased screen weight.
