FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in burner 2, backup fuel is burnt, coming in through a connecting pipe 3. Powdered coal is fed through connecting pipe 5, to the zone where there are hot gases, where the process of burning backup fuel has already finished. In the reaction zone, there is separation of volatile powdered coal particles due to their high temperature and separation of the gas-vapour component and solid phase at the same time, due to centrifugal force of the rotatory motion of powder-gas stream. Passing through a cone-shaped louver separator 6 and louver channels 7, the vapour-gas mixture passes into gas-collecting chamber 8, and then further into gas outlet pipe 9.
EFFECT: increased efficiency and cost effectiveness of the pyrolysis process.
