FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to operating fluid flow rate control valves operated at high temperatures of up to 2300 K pressures not over 10 MPa and is designed to control flight vehicle thrust vector. The hot gas flow rate control valve incorporates a body accommodating a shaft articulated to the control element. Shaft sealing assembly is fitted at the point the shaft extends from the valve body. Face seal is arranged in a circular gap between the body thermal protection and the shaft outer surface. The erosion-proof thermal-protection molded-material sleeve is fitted on the shaft outer surface. There is a circular ledge on the sleeve arranged on the control element side. The ledge outer diameter exceeds inner diameter of the nearest face O-ring. Cylindrical bore is made inside the shaft on face seal mounting seat section. The said bore diameter is aligned with the shaft outer surface. There are rows of transverse cuts on the shaft outer surface in the said cylindrical bore section arranged in adjacent rows with angular shit to make a labyrinth channel to transfer heat from the shaft to sealing assembly. Note here that the free space of the said cuts and said cylindrical bore are filled with a low heat conductivity material.

EFFECT: valve longer life with no notable increase in its linear sizes.
