FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed steering mechanism has threaded holes to receive bolts fitted in holes made in side covers located concentrically relative to their centre "O1". Aforesaid threaded holes are made on outer end faces of eccentric adjusting sleeves arranged concentrically with channels accommodating bearings of sector with center "O1" shifted by magnitude of eccentricity "A" relative to centre "O" of eccentric sleeves. The crankcase side end faces have holes arranged on the circumference with its centre aligned with centre "O" of aforesaid eccentric sleeves and with diameter D equal to diameter D1 of side covers. The said side covers bolted to the crankcase end faces have their edges bent into holes made in the aforesaid side end faces.
EFFECT: accurate adjustment of gap in toothed engagement of piston-rack and toothed quadrant, reduced hydraulic play and total hydraulic play in steering control.
