SUBSTANCE: plastic container lid is designed to consist of a top plate, a side skirt depending on the top plate periphery, a sealant strip depending on the top plate periphery and providing for pressure-tight contact with the container neck collar side and a support fixture containing a projecting guide element serving to direct the lid sealant strip towards the container neck collar when the lid is being fitted onto the container. The relatively small area of the guide element contact with the sealant strip enables minimisation of friction between the sealant strip and the guide element. The sealant strip is radially slanted towards the container neck collar.

EFFECT: pressurisation effect enhancement.
