MULTICHANNEL SLIDING COLLECTOR Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC H01R39/00

Abstract RU 2351044 C2

FIELD: electrics.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns electric equipment, particularly multichannel current collectors applied in electronic equipment for electrical control signal and feeding direct and alternate voltage transmission from immobile item part to mobile part a reversely. Device can be applied in telescopes, robots, military machines, column cranes etc. Multichannel sliding collector includes cylindrical case with central shaft mounted on bearing supports inside case and current collection part consisting of interacting rotating and non-rotating electric contacts connected kinematically to central shaft, combined in an assembly and connected by wires to external electrical connectors through output wire channels. Current collector includes several assemblies mounted in layers on central shaft and combined in a pack by tension pins. Assembly is made in the form of functionally complete module and includes segmented cylindrical metal cartridge covered by dielectric insulation caps from top and bottom. Rotating disc and non-rotating electric contacts are made in the form of combs. Rotating electric contacts are made in the form of metal rings. Central shaft is made in the form of rod with cruciform cross-section with lengthwise slot at one cross-section ridge; case features external flange at upper end and internal diametric lugs in lower part; kinematical connection of rotating electric contacts to central shaft is performed by their fixation to the shaft in circular direction. Output wire channels leading to bottom external electric connectors are made in the form of lengthwise through cavities. Output wire channels leading to top electric connectors are made in the form of lengthwise through cavities. Spade contacts of non-rotating electric contacts are made of conductive material with spring-elastic properties. Insulation caps are fixated at cartridge ends by screws. Rotating disc is made of dielectric material in two layers.

EFFECT: expanded functional capacity due to extended current range transmitted simultaneously, simplified construction, therefore improved technical operation qualities, serviceability and assembly processibility.
