SUBSTANCE: invention relates to container unloading devices. The proposed container turner comprises foundation (1), two axial hinge assemblies (2, 3) forming the axis of rotation and mounted on foundation converging posts (7) between which arranged is rotary platform (5) with vertical arrester and stop (17). On the side of the foundation converging posts, there is rotation drive (4) of rotary platform (5) accommodating, from below, U-like latch connected thereto by springs. The axis of rotation of rotary platform and axis of symmetry of the platform horizontal foundation are co-perpendicular and pass through the center of masses of loaded container mounted on the rotary platform. The distance between the platform foundation horizontal plane and the axis of rotation along the axis of symmetry are computed to correspond to the height of loaded container center of gravity. The platform horizontal foundation and arrester are co-perpendicular. The stop accommodates a corner plate with an arc-like strip bent along the radius that provides for one-hundred-percent deflection of retainer from horizontal pane.
EFFECT: simpler design, lower costs of manufacture and operation.
