FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to compaction of bulk explosive compositions. Method for making bursting explosive filler involves compacting charge of bulk explosive compositions. Compacting is performed in matrix with hydraulic press accommodating fixed top and mobile bottom plates. In compacting process, compacting pressure is controlled, while motion of mobile plate is observed by contactless motion inspection sensor. Current filler height is evaluated along the applied compacting force by certain formula. After preset compacting pressure and current filler height are obtained, further increase of compacting pressure is discontinued, and filler is kept under load.
EFFECT: invention allows for improved quality and performance of bursting explosive fillers ensured with uniform density and geometric fidelity of made pressings.
