FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to heat exchange apparatus and can be used in power engineering, gaseous, metallurgical, chemical and food industrial sectors. The shell-and-tube heat exchanger contains a system of different-type partitions, alternating among themselves along the shell forming chambers in the tube side, part of which is installed with a circular clearance relative to the shell, and the others are adjacent to the shell and are supplied with a central hole. In the chambers there are longitudinal spiral partitions with opposite spin angle, aligned to them and adjacent ends to the edges of the perpendicular partition. The pipes are provided with fins, and the fins are made in such sizes and shapes, that a helical cavity is formed on the inner surface of the heat-exchanger shell. The fins can be made from different-type partitions, alternating among themselves along the shell forming chambers in the tube side, depending on the versions of implementing the fins. The heated medium is directed either tangentially along the helical cavity, or turned by 180°. To improve contact of the fins with the pipe, a "skirt" is formed.
EFFECT: intense heat transfer.
