FIELD: food products.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention relates to shellfish food in the form of flakes. Feed in the whole units contains at least two feed mixtures of different content. The feed whole units contain at least two adjoining each other and crossing each other areas containing feed mixtures separately. The whole units are formed by extrusion to obtain extrudes articles with firm joint of the areas. The extruded articles are cut into disks and are flanged into flakes with the help of rolling mill. Preferential flakes are those of two-coloured or multicoloured flakes located in the separate areas of feed mixtures. The invention also relates to the method of production of such feed.
EFFECT: flakes prevent selective consumption of the feed by shellfish and enable normalisation of desired feed unit weight and speed of its sinking.
