SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endoscopic ultrasonic diagnostics, and covers differential diagnostics of pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis. The results of pancreas endosonography show the criteria of focal growth morphology with values to be scored. Diagnostic factor D is calculated by formula D=0.53246+0.21578×C-0.048315×K+0.24554×P+0.18461×O, where K, P, O are values (number of points) of the present morphology criteria, C is a value (number of points) of focal Y- and X-dimensions ratio derived from arithmetical difference of actual and expected Y-dimensions of focal growth. The expected Y-dimension is calculated thus predicted vertical size under the formula: Y=4.1795+0.43873×X. If D is <1.5, pancreas cancer is diagnosed. If D is ≥1.5, chronic pancreatitis is diagnosed.

EFFECT: more accurate differential diagnostics of pancreatic cancer and chronic pancreatitis.
